Suraj Kund Temple is a large Sun Temple which is situated in the East of Sunam city. It was destroyed by Timur or Mohammad Ghaznavi. Al-Biruni mentioned it as a famous place in his book Kitab-ul-Hind. The Saraswati river is believed to have flowed by it. The Suraj Kund is surrounded by Verandhas on all sides. In one corner of the Kund there is Shiva Linga. There are other two Kunds, viz, Sita Kund and Barat Kund.
