Thomas Munro and Captain Reid known as the father of the Ryotwari Settlement in India. It was firstly introduced in district 'BARAMAHAL' of Tamilnadu. By this settlement the Ryott-Cultivator was recognised as a owner of field and he had to pay revenue to British Government directly.
