It was released in the year 1996 by IISR (Indian Institute of Spices), Calicut. It is one of the high-yielding and high-quality cinnamon selections. Bark oil, leaf oil and oleoresin contents are high giving a good aroma and taste. And no visible pest infection and diseases have been observed in this variety.
