Non-cracking seedless variety of litchi is Swarna Roopa.Swarna roopa is the outcome of the selection made at CHES, Ranchi from different collections of litchi cultivars. This is the first variety developed in India. It has attractive deep-pink fruit colour, small seed and high TSS/acid ratio.
Fruits are highly resistant to cracking. Fruits mature a week later than the late cultivar in China.
