Let the average of 9 people expenditure = Rs. x
According to the question,
⇒ $$\frac{30\times 8+x+20}{9}$$    = x
⇒ 240 + 20 + x = 9x
⇒ 260 = 8x
⇒ x = $$\frac{260}{8}$$
⇒ x = 32.5
Total expenditure are
= 32.5 × 9
= Rs. 292.50
