Papaya latex is preserved using

A.
BA
B.
Citric Acid
C.
KMS
Answer
D.
AgNO3

Answer: Option C

Solution

Answer: Option C
Solution:
Papaya latex is preserved using KMS.
Papaya latex is from the flower of male papaya with main compositions consisting of proteolytic enzymes, papain and chemopapain, glutamine cyclotransferase, chymopapain A, B and C, peptidase A and B and lysozymes.
Papaya latex is used since it contains papain enzyme that has been proven for its ability to reduce the solution of silver nitride into nanosilver ions.
The latex is mixed with KMS immediately after collection and stored at a cold temperature. It is spread in trays and dried in a vaccum shelf drier for about 4 hours. The dried papain is powdered in a hammer or roller mill and thus preserved.
