This is a new variety developed by the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Katrain, by hybridization between EC 24855 x EC 10109.
The light green foliage with wavy margins is a distinguishing characteristic of the variety.
The heads are compact and slightly flattish round with loose wrapper leaves at the top.
The average head weight is 1.5 - 2.0 kg.
The average yield is 25 - 30 t/ha.
It is resistant to black rot.
