It is a pure line selection from IIHR 324 (local collection). Plants are tall, fruits straight, smooth with a pointed tip, fruit colour is dark green changing to deep red and highly pungent.
Suitable both for irrigated and rainfed cultivation. Yield 25 t/ha (green) or 3 t/ha (dry).
Recommended for release in 1990 at AICRP (VC) workshop at a national level.
