The Martand Canal takes its water from the river Lidder at Ganeshpora, Kashmir. It is the oldest canal in Kashmir and was constructed in 8th Century AD. It is about 50 km long and irrigates about 9500 acre of land around Matan, Dichhanpur, Khavapura and Anantnag.
