Answer: Option C

Solution

Answer: Option C
Solution:
Pentachlorophenol repellent is used against termites.
Pentachlorophenol is a chlorophenol that is phenol substituted by 5 chloro groups. It has a role as a human xenobiotic metabolite. Pentachlorophenol (PCP) and its sodium salt were once widely used as a fungicide, bactericide, herbicide, mollusicide, algaecide and insecticide.
Pentachlorophenol can be applied to soil to control termites, as a termiticide it has been limited to specific situations, such as direct application to termite-infested wood structures that cannot be easily replaced.
