Alagappa Government Arts College, Karaikudi

The Central Library of the college has a collection of 86,729 books including some rare collections. The collection contains important first editions of classical authors and authors of world importance, textbooks, Journals, Magazines, Reference books, Encyclopedias for general and specific, etc. 3764 number of books purchased from Government fund have been newly added to the collections during the last 5 years. Additionally, there are departmental libraries to provide easy and quick access to resources to students.

The college offers sports facilities for cricket, athletics, football, and hockey that promote students to remain physically active. The college also offers indoor sports facilities.

The college has excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

College Canteen functions in a separate block with dining rooms separately for girls, boys and staff that provide food items at a nominal rate to both students and staff.

The college also offers a seminar hall with modern facilities and a permanent stage. The auditorium facility of the college is air-conditioned and has ample seating capacity.

The college has various laboratories for various departments to facilitate practical training among students. The laboratories have modern equipment and are well-maintained by the staff members.

The college also offers a multi-gym facility where students can exercise. The gym has various equipment that allow students to do light exercise.
