All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society's College of Pharmacy, Pune

The college has a boys’ hostel facility that provides good accommodations for the students. Each student is provided with a single bed, a chair, a table, and a suitable locker facility on a sharing basis. The hostel has a spacious dining hall where healthy, delicious meals are reasonably priced. A separate room for television for the students, and a separate visitor’s room are also available where the students can meet their visitors. A separate parking facility is also available.

The college has Girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. Each student is provided with a single bed, a chair, a table, and a suitable locker facility on twin sharing basis. The hostel has a spacious dining hall where healthy, delicious meals are provided at reasonable rates. A separate room for television for the students, and a separate visitor’s room are also available where the students can meet their visitors. A separate parking facility is also available.

The College has provided a medical facility for students and staff. The institute has signed the MOU with Surya Hospital, located one km from the college. We have Naidu Hospital in the vicinity (distance of 500meters), Ruby Hall Clinic and Jehangir Hospital, Sassoon General Hospital and Sancheti Hospital for Accidental cases, and Hardikar Orthopedic Hospital in a radius of less than one km distance. All the specialty hospitals are very much in the vicinity and in immediate reach in the case of any emergency situation.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The College library was constructed on the third floor of the institute. There are separate sections available in the library, such as the Administrator and book issue section, reading section, reference section, journal section, and E-Library. All the books are segregated subject-wise and shelved in properly labeled cupboards. All the books are given an accession number. The reference books and books for issue-return are stored separately. The latest volumes and issues of the subscribed journals are displayed in the library in the journal section. Old volumes and issues of the hard copy of the journals are hardbound every year and labeled, and a separate register is maintained for tracking issues and return records. The library is well stocked with books, titles, and journals as well as electronic resources such as Bentham Science Pharmacy, ELSEVIER- Science Direct, and Inflibnet N-List for use by students and faculty. The library also has institutional membership with the Jaikar Laboratory and the British Library Pune for referring to the library services. The library has also provided all users with a book bank and reprographic facility. Library Resources: The library has a very good collection of books, periodicals, and journals related to pharmacy and allied sciences. It has two sections, which are the reference and issue sections. At present library has books worth Rs. 87 Lakhs, which include valuable titles from various subjects like Quality assurance, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaco-kinetics, Medicinal chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Inorganic and organic), Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular biology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pathology, Anatomy &Physiology, Physical Pharmacy. Along with traditional subjects, we have a few selected titles on Gene cloning, AIDS & HIV, Chemotherapy, cosmetics, etc., from well-known Indian and foreign publishers. 

The College Sports and cultural activities are important in the overall development of students. The institute’s campus has provided a playground with a well-equipped gymnasium and facilities for indoor and outdoor games for the students to maintain their physical well-being and also provide an opportunity to participate in various sports events.

The institute has a very well-equipped air-conditioned Computer laboratory with unrestricted internet access with bandwidth 16+2 Mbps is made available for students to refer to the online resources for curricular and co-curricular needs. Moreover, all the computers in the departments are well equipped with computers, printers, and internet facilities. Separate computing and internet facility is made available on the first floor for postgraduate research scholars.

The college campus has two Canteen facilities available in the nearby vicinity for students and staff. The canteen facility is provided during college hours and provides a variety of hygienic snacks, breakfast, and lunch at an affordable rate.

The College Auditorium Hall is available on the third floor of an institute with adequate seating arrangement, an LCD projector and motorized projector screen, and an audio-visual system with power backup facilities for organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, guest lectures, and other events.

The college provides transport facilities to students for various purposes like Industrial visits, EVS trips, event visits, educational tours, etc.

The College To foster fellow feeling and unity among all present and ex-students of All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s College of Pharmacy, Pune. To arrange guest lectures, seminars, workshops, etc in order to create professional awareness and improve the competence among the pharmacy students to provide aid to needy members directly or indirectly. To help APGA members find employment and or a source of livelihood.

The college has constructed 18 laboratories for B. Pharm, M. Pharm, and Ph.D. students. All laboratories of respective departments are equipped with modern facilities and instrumentation for conducting the regular practicals of B. Pharmacy as per the curriculum design by Savitribai Phule Pune University and to carry out the research work undertaken by UG, PG, and Ph.D. students. Fire extinguishers and hydration systems are available in all laboratories and corridors for safety. Exhaust fans are fitted to ensure adequate laboratory ventilation.

The College Bank of Maharashtra and Bank of Baroda have made special banking facilities available to all the institutions' stakeholders under the All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s umbrella. The extension centers of the bank are located near the Central Campus at Shivaji Nagar. On this campus, an ATM facility for students and staff has been made available by the Bank of Baroda. The campus also has close (around 1km) connectivity with many banks and their ATMs, nearby post offices, and courier services.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The College has provided students and staff a separate parking area in the college's basement for four and two-wheeler vehicles.

The College has Separate classrooms available for conducting the B.Pharm and B.Pharm classes. A total of 4 classrooms are constructed well-ventilated and equipped with a blackboard, Digital smart boards, LCD projectors, and OHP, to meet audiovisual needs for effective delivery of the lectures as well as conventional teaching for faculty. All classrooms are well connected with an internet LAN facility for browsing. Classrooms have a comfortable seating arrangement.

The  College Training and Placement Cell headed by Dr. Monica R. P. Rao contacted more than 25 companies for recruitment of students and resumes were forwarded to 10 reputed pharmaceutical companies. The following students were placed through on and off-campus interviews.
