Ananda Mohan College, Kolkata

The College Library has been in place since the college's inception. Before August 1984, the three colleges (Rammohan College, City College, and Ananda Mohan College) shared a common library. Since then, Ananda Mohan College has had a separate library. The college library is located on the first floor of the college's main building and has a floor area of approximately 1,000 sq. ft.

The college has two separate, newly renovated canteens for staff and students. In addition, the students have access to one pantry. The subsidised canteen offers a variety of nutritious and delicious menus and safe drinking water. In a specially constructed building, the canteen provides a healthy scope for students to discuss various academic and other issues during their off periods.

The college has no big playground, and during the time of Annual Sports, the college hires a playground every year. Though some infrastructure facilities are available for indoor games. The Boys’ Common Room is equipped with a Table Tennis Board and a Carrom Board.

The college has Medical assistance is provided by the college. On the campus, the college has a health center, and one of our faculty members looks after the primary treatments. The health centre runs every Friday between 6.30 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. The college also organizes medical camps at regular intervals.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff. The library has a broadband connection for accessing the Internet. Faculties can browse the Internet and Wi-Fi Services from library portals, laptops, and mobile devices. 

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has an excellent IT infrastructure for students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college also provides extracurricular activities to encourage students.

The college has set up a career counselling and placement cell, which maintains professional relations with representatives of industry. Through the career counselling cell, the students are guided and informed about the various career options available to them. The HR managers of various companies are invited to the college campus to interact with the students. Students from various departments of the college are taken on industry-related visits from time to time to keep them acquainted with the latest developments in the economy.

The college has two common rooms – one for the girls and the other for the boys. Recreational facilities are available in the common room.

The college also provides good classroom facilities for all the students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
