Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences, New Delhi

The college has a gymnasium inside the campus that can be used by the students to stay fit and healthy. The gymnasium has all the necessary equipment such as Treadmill, Cross Trainer, Cycles, Small Multi gym, Vibrator, Tummy Twister, Medicine Balls, and Swiss Balls for the students.

The Library has a staking length of 3396 ft. having a strong collection of nearly 27068 volumes of books including reference books, and 336 bound volumes of journals. The student books ratio of the library is 1:20. Library also has 1231 CD-ROMs/ DVD-ROMs. The library has developed a computerized record of more than 11000 journal articles with bibliographic details. These are used by students for their projects. Apart from the in-house collection, the library has full access to the thousands of journals online which are being subscribed to by the Central Reference Library (University of Delhi). The Library is also subscribing to the N-LIST (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure of Scholarly Contents) Programme – (a collection of E-Resources under the UGC-INFONET Digital Library Consortium).

Sports provide wholesome development of physical, mental, social, intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and psychological well-being of an individual both in our day-to-day life and in the long run. Sports are an integral part of our college for the holistic development of students. Therefore, physical fitness and health needs are looked into at different levels. The college organizes various intramural sports activities for the students viz. Cricket, Basketball, Volley Ball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Kabaddi, and some fun games for those who were not able to participate in any sports event. The Annual Sports Day is celebrated every year where students as well as staff actively participate in various athletic disciplines like races, long jump, shot put, etc. Apart from this college organizes Bhaskaracharya Inter College Cricket Tournament every year where 12 University of Delhi constituent colleges participate. Our college students participate in various sports events organized by Delhi University and other organizations at the state national and international levels.

The college has three computer labs with state-of-the-art facilities and more than 180 computers including the ones in each department and library. The college is Wi-Fi enabled and the students have access to advanced web activity and e-resources through the Delhi University network. The students and faculty can access various e-journals and stay in touch with the latest research activities.

The college canteen is spread over a 100 sq. m area and can accommodate at a time about 40-50 students. It can cater to about 1500 students with freshly cooked meals, and snacks as well as ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook foods at very nominal prices. Its food quality and hygiene conditions are regularly monitored by the canteen committee which consists of members from the student council as well as teaching and non-teaching faculty members. An extension of this canteen to the open area behind it with parasols has been recently done to accommodate the growing strength of students. In order to add variety to the beverages and snacks available in the canteen, a cafeteria has recently been started on the campus for the students. The canteen committee is striving to improve the existing infrastructure and associated amenities to meet the growing strength of the college.

BCAS New Delhi has laboratories inside the campus that provide practical experience to the students for a better understanding of the concepts.

The college has a convenience store facility for students. (like photocopying facility and stationery, etc.

The college has a medical centre inside the campus premises. It conducts regular medical health check-up camps for early warning signs of women health issues.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.
