Central Polytechnic College, Thiruvananthapuram

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The library in the Central Polytechnic College is one of the best among the libraries in polytechnic colleges in the state of Kerala. The library has a collection of 31574  volumes; 7244 titles; 18 journals; 298 E-journals, 11 magazines, and 5 newspapers. The functioning of the library is powered by Koha Software.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has Alumni Association has been set up to enable past students of the college to share their knowledge and experience effectively with one another as well as contribute to the fields of engineering and technology as a whole. The alumni association also helps to foster relationships in social, cultural, and professional directions among its members and thus contribute positively to society. As far as the Alma Mater is concerned, a gathering of the old students on its premises from time to time helps to enhance the glory of the institution and also gives a chance for the old students to give back to their college. Many members of the CPTAA have instituted awards and scholarships for meritorious students currently studying in the institution.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a guest house/waiting room facility for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college also has a Training and placement cell that continuously strives to help students pursue their career goals by acquiring employment-seeking skills and ultimately attaining desired employment.  

The college also encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities such as NCC, NSS, etc.

The college also provides good classrooms for all students.

The Staff Club:

The Staff club facilitates social interaction among all the staff members of various departments of this college. All teaching, non-teaching, and administrative staff are members of this club by default. The club aims at the welfare of its members and family. The main activities of the staff club include organizing lectures, celebrating festivals, conducting family tours and get-togethers, participating in family events, etc.
