College of Teacher Education, Golaghat

The college Library has a collection of more than 6500 books including textbooks, references, journals, periodicals, encyclopedias, etc. mostly related to education. Out of the 5 are journals and 8 are encyclopedias. A student can borrow two at a time for 15 days. A borrower will be responsible for the loss or damage of any book and will have to pay the cost.

The college also has a well-equipped Science Laboratory to fulfill the needs of teachers- students. Physical, Chemical, and Biological practical activities at the secondary school level can be done here. Different types of physics apparatus such as Slide Callipers, Screw gauze, Simple pendulums, Bar magnets, Magnetic needles, Stop Watch, Spring balance, Physical balance, Gas jars, Hydrometer, Tuning fork, Rheostate, Om’s law apparatus, wooden boards, plane mirror, glass slab, prism, etc are available in the laboratory.

The college has 2 separate hostels for male trainees:24 seats in the Boys’ Hostel.

The college has 2 separate hostels for female trainees:24 seats in the Girls’ Hostel.

The college has 1 ICT cum resource room which is equipped with several Computer systems and with a huge number of Teaching Aid materials.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
