The College has a Library Facility for the students. Established in the year 1978, the Damdama College Central Library (DCCL) is situated at the center of the college campus, adjacent to the Hajo-Guwahati Road, making it an accessible storehouse of knowledge for all the students, faculties, and others. With the involvement of charismatic and dedicated staff, the library has been catering to the different needs of the users since its inception. It has also been providing strong support to academic learning and research-related activities with its collection of approximately 16000 (sixteen) thousand reading materials which includes the text, reference books, reputed journals related to different subjects, and newspapers of national repute. Automation of the Library with the application of SOUL 2.0 and other relevant services like barcode management, well-equipped computer facilities, spacious reading arrangements for both students and faculties, the award for the best reader to promote reading habits among students, well-drafted library rules and regulations, etc. have contributed the library in playing a positive and an efficient role in facilitating teaching, learning, and research in the college particularly as well as the community in general.
The Damdama College Library plays a pivotal role in the teaching-learning process of the college. The library is partially automated with a seating capacity of about 50. The library presently has around a sufficient number of books and subscribes to regular periodicals including journals, magazines, and newspapers. The library remains open on all working days except Sundays and college-notified holidays. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday to Saturday. The library is using library management software, SOUL (version 2.0) for its housekeeping operations. The availability of an OPAC search facility is one of the salient features of the library. It is well equipped with LAN-connected computers and WI-FI with internet connectivity.
