DKM College for Women, Vellore

The college has a hostel situated on the campus. Accommodation with nutritious food is provided to all the inmates of the hostel. The Principal is the Chief Warden. Other facilities in the hostel include an STD booth, common television, and study rooms.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college consists of 2 main libraries and 17 departmental libraries which sport a vast range of books which support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. These excellent ever-growing libraries have a good collection of books on various subjects of different disciplines of science, humanities and social science. Now the Central Library comprises 33010 books, 28 journals, 11 free e-journals, 8 Magazines, 544 Theses, 79 Projects, 211 Book banks, 2907 Back Volumes and other non-materials like 351 DVDs and CDs.

The college member in the UGC-INFLIBNET N-LIST programme, we have subscribed N-LIST programme where we can access the e-resources (6000+ journals and 97000+ eBooks).  We have partially implemented Barcode Technology and in the future RFID Technology is going to be implemented which will make the library user more comfortable and fast quick access to resources in the library and computerize the central library.

The College department of Physical Education offers coaching for various games like Volleyball, Handball, Football, Ball Badminton, Shuttle, Athletics, Judo, Carom, Table Tennis, and Chess. The teams are cared for by individual coaches. Kits and tracks are provided to all the students. An indoor stadium is also in the process of construction.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College An exclusive canteen is available on the campus offering tasty and hygienic food. Food, beverages, snacks, stationaries, and all products of basic necessity are available inside the campus itself. The food in the canteen is available at a reasonable and affordable cost.

The College is well equipped with Air Conditioned 2 mini-seminar halls which can accommodate 250 members and the main conference hall which can accommodate 600 members. It is a center for knowledge acquisition since the right ambiance is created with a podium, a computer system with an internet facility, an LCD projector, a sound system, and speakers.

The college provides a bus facility for the students to commute from different parts of the district at a nominal amount.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.

The college provides a WI-FI facility to all the departments and libraries with a bandwidth of Railwire 10Mbps dedicated fiber optic.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. laboratories with the latest equipment. There are multimedia English Language Labs with all the sophisticated equipment, especially to train students in communicative aspects of English.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.
