Don Bosco Arts and Science College, Kannur

The college has well-furnished rooms with a conducive environment for rigorous academic pursuits. A home away from home, the hostel has a regular timetable tailored to the requirements of the growing generation. Currently, the hostel accommodates 140 students.

The college Girls' Hostel is located very close to the campus and is run by SABS Sisters. Being personally supervised and monitored by the Sisters, the hostel is a safe and happy home away from home.

• The college has a Library Council comprising the Principal, Heads of the various Departments, Faculty members, Librarian, and Student Representatives to assist in procuring books, journals, and magazines. The Library Council is responsible for the upkeep of the library facilities.
• The library uses BookMagic, an Integrated Library Management System, for its in-house operations. This allows users to search a book author-wise, title-wise, and subject-wise. The library also has OPAC terminals at various locations. Information about the Library is also made available through the OPAC

The college has taken care of the Physical Intelligence Quotient (PQ) of students, offering opportunities for students to have regular games. The college has a playground for football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, and shuttle badminton. Interdepartmental and intercollegiate matches are organized, and college teams are sent for university-level tournaments. 

The college has a state-of-the-art computer lab with 80 computers at students’ disposal, offering practical sessions, especially for students in B.Com Computer Applications, B.Sc Mathematics with Computer Applications, and BCA.

The College has a well-established cafeteria. Canteen is spick and span, and offers items of quality at an affordable rate. The canteen functions on all working days.

The College has Over 1,500 students can have comfortably seated in the auditorium. The beautifully designed stage with the required modern paraphernalia for the performance of all varieties of cultural extravaganza, with the motto “Grooming Generations and Leaving Legacies” superimposed on top creates a festive vibes in the campus whenever programmes are organized.  

The college has a 24-hour Wi-Fi-enabled campus. Students can surf the Internet for academic and professional requirements.

The college has a guest room for the accommodation of parents and visiting faculty.

The college has a gym facility for the students. The gym includes all the basic equipment required to work out.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory, the Computer Lab, and a Language Lab. The Don Bosco Arts and Science College Kannur Language Lab plays an important role in the language learning process for the college's students. 

The college provides a bus from Iritty, the major town in the district, to the campus on all working days. The first trip from Iritty is at 8 a.m. and the second trip is at 8.50 a.m. The return trips are at 3.45 p.m. and 4.45 p.m. Those coming by the first trip and returning by the second trip can spend their free time in the library that functions from 8.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.

The college has an ATM on campus. The ATM counter of Federal Bank, having a branch at Vallithode close by, is at the service of the students, particularly those staying in hostels.

The college has a designated parking area for vehicles to park on the campus. Entry of the vehicle beyond that point is strictly prohibited.
