Falakata College, Alipurduar

The College has a rich Library with nearly nineteen thousand books, 18811, on different subjects, and a number of local, national, and international. Students are provided with a Library card for the Reading Room of the Library and a Borrower Card, which enables them to take out books on loan. These cards are not transferable and must be returned at the end of the session. The lending Service of the Library is fully computerized. In the reading room, there is a complete catalog of the books and journals of the Library for the users. The students are required to submit requisition slips according to working hours at the lending counter within 2.00 p.m. All the rules and regulations of the Library are clearly mentioned in the Notice Board of the Library. For any kind of information or help, students/users are required to contact the Library Staff or the Librarian in the Library.

The college has a very good infrastructure for Games and Sports. There is a large playground on the college campus. Games and Sports are both conducted by the Department of Physical Education of the college. The college has a good record of success in Football, Kho-Kho, and Badminton in the last few years in the Inter Non-Govt. College Athletic and Football Champion both in the District and State Level as well as at the University Inter-College Level.

The College has a Canteen which remains open during college hours. It caters to the need of students and Employees of the College.

The college has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

The College students are provided with a First-Aid facility in the college. The college also bears the expense of medicine to a limited extent.

The College has an Alumni Association that aims to link the alumni to the institution, develop strategic plans to support the College to achieve its vision, and enable the institution to add value to all its stakeholders.
