Fateh Chand College for Women, Hisar

The college hostel has two blocks of three-story buildings each in which 380 girls can reside comfortably. The hostels have all the modern amenities for living such as a big and airy dining room, a small library, a study room having computers, a prayer room, and a common room in which eight newspapers and eight magazines are available. Besides these, the hostel has other facilities like generators, electric and solar geysers, fans, furniture, TV, desert cooler, internet facility, inverter, automatic washing machine, water coolers fitted with R.O.

The college boasts of a fully equipped gymnasium to provide girls with the latest facility tools. The machines or equipment in the gym include a 7-station multigym, jogger, and twister.

The college has a library Originally, the library was set up in a small room. Keeping in view the rising number of users, it was shifted to a new library building in May 2001. A separate, independent building for a library and that also in an undergraduate (now a post graduate) college is very rare in India. At present, we have 39686 books in the library, which shows that the tradition of adding about 700-800 books every year is still maintained. Users can access the latest information from the library’s blog. 

The college has indoor and outdoor games like Football, Archery, Ball Badminton, Cricket, Table Tennis, Volley Ball, Judo, Yoga, Boxing, Sambo, Roller Skating, etc. 

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. The college provides free internet in each lab. for the staff and students.

The College provides a well furnished canteen for the students where they can relish good quality food items at reasonable prices. 

The college has an auditorium facility Equipped with elegant furniture, an overhead Projector, and a sound system, the fully air-conditioned Seminar Room 

The college has a Subjects having Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Music Vocal, Music Instrumental, Defense Studies, Geography, Psychology Commercial Arts, Fashion Designing, Functional English, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Home Science have fully equipped modern labs having computers with internet facility.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has an MI room in college as well as a hostel for first aid. First aid, Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency care facility, Ambulance.

The college has A smart classroom, in a general sense, a new constitution that integrates electronic areas and human interface as well as technology and traditional teaching methods to form an innovative, advanced, flexible learning environment.  Smart classrooms are technology-enhanced classrooms that foster opportunities for teaching and learning by integrating learning technology, such as computers, specialized software, audience response technology, networking, and audio/visual capabilities.

The college has extracurricular activities for the students. For extracurricular activities like debates and sports, students are given special training to hone their skills.
