Ghulam Nabi Azad Arts Commerce and Science College, Barshitakli

The College well equipped Cenral Library of College has a Unique Collection of 10000 Books and is subscribed to 10 periodicals and Journals, 13 newspapers, and 13 Research Project Reports of Ph.D and Minor Project. The Work of Computerization of the Library is in progress. The reading room for the students and teachers with a rich reference section is a characteristic feature of the Library. To make overall development of the Library, a Library Advisory Committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Principal. Madhukar Pawar, Prof. A.U. Umale (Secretary), Dr. Smt. Vimaladevi Nair, Prof. M.B.Ballal, Prof. P.D. Deshmukh, and Shri S.G.Rathod are the members of the Committee. 

The college rural college targets poorer and backward communities mainly from nearby villages. The girls aspiring for higher education have to travel every day from their village to college, and they are facing a problem with transportation. For solving these problems, the college has provided a women's hostel for 20 girls on the college premises. 

The College has an Indoor Stadium with assistance from the Department of Youth Affairs and Sport, Government of India, New Delhi, for providing sports facilities to the college students. The College encourages all students to participate in various games & sports. We have facilities for Athletics, Cross-country, Marathon, Kabaddi, Badminton, Table tennis, Volleyball, Cricket, Wrestling, etc. Deserving sports & other recognized tournaments. From 1990-91 onwards under the banner of Urdu Literary Association many programmes are organized.
