Government College for Women, Udhampur

The college has sufficient facilities to organize sports activities. The Sports Development Committee of the college encourages students to take part in sports and games. Our students have brought laurels to this institution by representing the college at the state and national levels.

The college canteen is run by a contractor. The Canteen caters to the needs of the students and provides eatables at reasonable rates.

The college Bus facility is provided to the students who need an elegant transport service to enable them to reach the College well in time. The college has two Buses having a seating capacity of 52 and 42 seats. College Buses cover the route from College to Jib More subject to the enrollment of an adequate number of students. The genuine fee is charged by the students.

The College Hostel facility is available to the bona fide students of the college. There are about 27 seats for female students in the hostel which is housed in a building of the Social Welfare Department. in the old campus. The students are allotted accommodation on a shared basis. The admission to the hostel is provided purely on a merit cum distance basis.

The college provides elegant parking places for staff members. The students who use personal vehicles can also avail of this parking facility.

The College has a wi-fi facility to cater to the Computer dept., Admin office, faculty, and students.

The college has a health center with a student first aid facility.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a library facility for all students.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college Placement Cell of the Govt. College for Women, Udhampur, organized a symposium under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on the topic "My Dream Job after Graduation" under the supervision of Prof. Jugal Kishore, Convenor, Career Counselling, Guidance, and Placement Cell.

The college Red Ribbon Club, under the convenorship of Dr. Kewal Kumar, on August 13, 2023. In the morning session, a motivational lecture on the theme, “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World,” was delivered by Dr. Kewal Kumar, Convenor of the Red Ribbon Club.  

The college has provided Xerox facilities to students at a reasonable rate.
