GCE Kannur has two hostels for boys. Each hostel has a capacity of accommodating 150 students.  The hostel has a mess that offers food items at affordable rates. It is to be noted that admissions are offered to GCE Kannur students. Facilities for sports and health care are also offered to students at GCE Kannur.

The college has separate hostels for girls. GCE Kannur has two hostels for girls, each with an intake of 150 students. Both the GCE Kannur hostels are provided health care and sports facilities. Admission tk the hostels confined tk GCE Kannur students.

GCE Kannur has a health centre and offers medical facilities to cater to the medical needs of students.

GCE Kannur has a multi-functional gym for caring for the health and fitness needs of students.

GCE Kannur library has a main lending section and a reference section that covers the core branch subjects and topics on management, computer, higher education and industry. The library collection also includes journals, periodicals of national and international repute. Also, an audio-visual section is there in the library which has video cassettes, CD-ROMS on an array of engineering topics.

Government College of Engineering Kannur has playgrounds for sports events: cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, and facilities are provided for both outdoor and indoor games including badminton, table tennis, carom and chess. The main ground of the college is used for the track and field events of annual sports.

Each department of GCE Kannur has mini-computer kabs. Apart from this, the college has a centralised computer centre to cater to the needs of students and faculty. The centre provides a computing facility for the students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. All the computers have the latest hardware and operating systems. The centre is open from 8 am to 8 pm.

Government College of Engineering Kannur has a cafeteria that is run on a cooperative basis from 1995 onwards.

GCE Kannur has two open-air auditoriums with a seating capacity of more than 1000 people. The college also has a seminar with the public addressing systems, projectors etc. Each department has its seminar halls. All the seminar halls have LCD and OHP projectors.

Government College of Engineering Kannur offers bus facilities to students and staff. The college has seven buses out of which four are operated in Kannur city to GCE Kannur and the rest from Payyanur town to college. The college has a bus committee constituted by the principal to discuss the matters related to bus timings, routes, departure etc.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.

GCE Kannur has a computer lab that has 72 nodes connected wirelessly.

GCE Kannur has a cooperative store for supplying books, stationary and education accessories to students.
