Government Degree College, Beerwah

The College has library is an indispensable source of acquiring knowledge and information. Located on the first floor of the main building, our library has all the necessary books and periodicals that the students and faculty may consult to enrich their body of knowledge. In addition to the spacious hall of the library that contains a large number of books about various disciplines like Science, Social Science, Humanities, and Commerce, the college library has a separate reading room where the students and faculty read books and secondary material of their interest in their spare time.

The college has a separate Physical Education Department that conducts different games and sports activities on the college campus. The Department not only encourages the students to participate in games and sports of their interest and choice but also provides facilities of all the sports activities like cricket, volleyball, football, table tennis, badminton, chess, carom kho kho, etc. Besides the games and sports activities that students enjoy in the college campus, the college also participates in the Inter-College Sports events organized by the Kashmir University.

The college has a WI-fI Facility. After the implementation of Local Area Network(LAN), /WiFi in the college campus Internet facility is provided to students and faculty members of all the departments and administrative units.

The College has acquired a bus to provide transport facilities to its students at concessional rates. The College Bus Plies from the Railway Station Mazhama to the College campus. The bus is also used for various college activities and subject tours organized by the college. The college is considering the acquisition of another bus to meet the rising demands for the same by the students hailing from areas like Khag and Ratson.

The College provides a canteen facility to both the students and staff. The canteen runs on a contract basis and makes available basic food items and snacks on concessional rates. To ensure the cleanliness of the canteen and sale of hygienic food items, the college constitutes the Canteen Committee that looks after the functioning of the Canteen.

The college has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure for the students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a Workshop facility for students.
