Government Degree College, Poonch

The college has a Residential Complex and Boys Hostel, which has been renovated and hosts about seventy students. The Boys' Hostel is functioning efficiently. 

The college has a girls' hostel. The Girls' Hostel need expansion, there is a lot of demand for the Boarding Facility by the girls and their parents. Proposal for the upgradation and construction of a new Hostel could not be submitted due to the non-availability of suitable land. We are looking for the same. 

The college also has a first aid medical facility. The District Hospital Poonch remained always at work to provide its services to the college. One Medical Assistant is at the disposal of the college administration as and when required to ensure the health and safety of our students.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The College library at present has a collection of about 45,000 books. Every student has to deposit a security of Rs 30/-. The security is refunded every year in the month of June only. The claim for the refund should be accompanied by a "No Demand" certificate from the Librarian and various textbook sections of the College Departments, and it should be made within a reasonable time after leaving the College, but not later than two years in any case. There is a reading room attached to the College Library. About 20 magazines, newspapers, and journals etc. are being subscribed to enhance the general knowledge of the students. 

The college features a spacious playground and a dedicated Indoor Sports Hall. With a recent grant of ₹3 Lakh under SAP, the Department of Physical Education has upgraded its equipment inventory to provide professional-grade facilities for our athletes. 

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College Canteen serves as a central hub for students and staff, providing a clean and welcoming environment for refreshment and social interaction. Following extensive repairs and high-quality renovations, the facility currently operates to the complete satisfaction of the entire college community. 

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The College has parking facilities for the students and staff on the college campus, in the boys' hostel and Residential complex, and in the girls' hostel Complex. There is a Bus garage also for the College Bus.

The college has a good network for the alumni association.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The College provides comprehensive parking facilities for both staff and students within the college campus. Dedicated spaces are maintained at the Boys' Hostel, the Residential Complex, and the Girls' Hostel Complex to ensure organized vehicle management. 

The college also provides extracurricular activities like NSS and NCC.

The college provides good classroom facilities.

The college also provides workshop facilities for all the students.

The college also provides Training and Placement opportunities for all the students.

The College has provided ICT-enabled features for all the students.
