Government Degree College, Ramban

The College is spaciously designed and organized, providing a conducive environment for reading. It is equipped with modern amenities to support a diverse range of academic disciplines offered by the college.

The library boasts a diverse and comprehensive collection of books, journals, and reference materials covering various subjects taught at the college. The library also offers online access to a wide array of e-resources, including e-books, e-journals, databases, and digital archives. This ensures that students and faculty have access to up-to-date and relevant information for their academic pursuits.

The college has a well-maintained Computer lab with more than 15 computers, which are located on the first floor of the College building.

The college has provided two Swaraj Mazda buses of 41 seats each, one for the students commuting from Batote and adjoining areas and the other for Ramban town and adjoining areas. As per the decision of the College Transport Committee, a lump sum amount shall be charged to the students coming from Batote and the adjoining areas of Ramban. The Fee shall be decided by the College Transport Committee in consultation with the stakeholders. 

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has to cater to the needs of the students. The college maintains five well-equipped science laboratories. These laboratories are equipped with the facilities required for the conduct of practicals of UG classes of respective subjects.

The college has a separate canteen building with all modern facilities for the students and staff. 

The college has Sports facilities have been established for various indoor and outdoor games likes, Table Tennis, Wrestling, Badminton, Chess, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho etc. to ensure the focus of providing extra- curricular activities to the students. Every year our students participates at inter-college level and university level events like “Sangam Youth Festival” held in Bhadarwah campus of Jammu University and “Display Your Talent” held in Jammu University and compete with best of players of the other institutions. The Physical Education Department of the college provides support to the students for grooming their sports skills. The department also provides training and practice opportunities for players at all levels.. 

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. The seminar hall has a seating capacity of 150 students.

The college has a well-furnished girls' common room with a seating capacity of almost 40 students, where girls can have their study-related discussions, read, or rest.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The College has a smart classroom, which is a digital classroom, which is an advanced form of a school that follows different ways of teaching to improve efficiency. They work towards providing a better environment for learning and prioritize a healthy classroom where the students are interested in learning.

The college also provides extracurricular activities like NSS and NCC.

The college has a boys’ hostel facility, which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has a Girls’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The College has 8 Spacious Classrooms and Wi-Fi facilities, Proper seating arrangements, and a lighting system.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college also provides workshop facilities for all the students.
