Government Degree College, Udhampur

The College has a Hostel facility available for 90 male students in Boy's Hostel. Three students are accommodated in a room. 

The College library is housed in a newly constructed, spacious building. It has more than 53000 books on various subjects. The College has a rich library where there is no dearth of the latest books concerning the syllabi, which are issued to the students under the rules. The latest Journals, Magazines, Periodicals, and Newspapers are displayed in the Reading Room. Students are encouraged to make proper use of this facility in their free time.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The College Canteen is run by a private contractor who is approved on a competitive basis for one academic session. The eatables provided are subsidized for students. The performance of the Canteen is closely monitored by the College Canteen Committee, which also seeks feedback from the students and teachers for further engagement of the contractor. The college maintains a Medical-Aid center for the first aid of the students. The required infrastructure and medicines are available in the center, which is monitored by the Medical-Aid committee and run by the pharmacist 

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

 The College has a splendid playground for Cricket, Football, Hockey, Tennis, volleyball, Kabaddi, and Badminton. Games are played regularly, and every student is expected to play at least one game. Every student is expected to have the usual equipment for the games he/she opts for. 

The college has a good network for the alumni association.

The College has a Separate parking facility available for the Staff and the Students. Staff vehicles are issued a pass to be parked in the unmarked area. Students will have to prove their identity before they are allowed to use students parking. A comprehensive proposal for a new parking area is in the pipeline. 

The College Bus Service is provided to female students only. The following areas/routes are covered under this facility. Campus-M.H Chowk-Town Hall-Jakheni-Sailen Talab-Roun Domain. (Subject to change). College Campus-TCP Domail-Jekhani-Cherry Sial-Sangoor- Dhar Road-College.

The college Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by the Government of India in schools and colleges for awarding society through students regarding HIV / AIDS, its causes, prevention, and issues. Besides this, it also plays an important role in creating awareness regarding blood donation and its importance, and developing a sense of responsibility for donating blood with an aim to serve humanity. The mission of this club is to render unconditional help on several occasions, as and when required, for needy persons in a time of emergency. The scope of work of this club is not limited to the above-mentioned activities, but also focuses on the ill effects of substance abuse amongst the youths. It also focuses on the issues cropping up from ill habits.

The college has a smart classroom a technology-enhanced learning classroom that enhances the way of teaching and learning digitally. The classroom is integrated with digital displays, tablets, whiteboards, assistive listening devices, and other audio/visual components that make lectures easier, more engaging, and more interactive.
