The hostels are very spacious and are headed by hostel wardens and resident tutors. The hostels have a separate mess, which provides both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

GEC Thrissur also provides hostel facilities for girls. The hostels are very comfortable for the accommodation of outstation students. The hostel wardens look after the safety and security of the hostels. Mess facilities are also available.

The college has an on-campus medical clinic that provides basic first-aid facilities to the students and staff members.

The college has a central library, open on all working days. GEC Thrissur library facilities include a vast collection of textbooks and reference books on Engineering, national and international journals, periodicals, newspapers and magazines. The library uses Online Public Access Catalogue and is fully automated.

Government Engineering College Thrissur provides sports facilities with the aim of making its students disciplined, ambitious and both mentally and physically fit. The students have also participated in various sports events and have won many awards.
