Government First Grade College, Mangalore

The college library has a total collection of 14577 books. They include books on disciplines like Commerce, History, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Mathematics Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, English, Kannada, Hindi, and General Books. There are 7688 titles and 6889 reference books. Out of which 1006 books are donated by committee members, ex-staff and others. There are nearly 250 student research projects on various topics.

The College has Physical Education Director looking after the sports activities. Students are encouraged to participate in State, National, and International sports competitions. The campus has Wrestling, Kho-Kho, Volley Ball/Badminton, Kabaddi courts, and a gym to fulfill the needs of students.

The College has a computer lab with 60 computers and high-speed internet connections. 

The College is a centrally located canteen on the college campus, which caters to the needs of students and faculty.

The College auditorium with a seating capacity of about 700 helps in conducting various programs throughout the year. Programs with larger gatherings are held in the open-air ground i.e. Kalamandir.

The college has a registered Alumni Association and the same functions under the name ‘The Alumni Association(TAA)’. All those students who get degrees from this college are members of TAA. It sponsors various programs of the college and contributes to the welfare and well-being of the students.

The College Well planned and fully equipped Physics, Chemistry, and Computer science laboratories facilitate students in their practical classes.

The College accommodates students in Govt. Hostels for boys online with the following facilities: 24 hrs. security, water purifier, and healthy food. Emergency medicine and conveyance to hospital. A fee refund will be given to the SC/ST students who have been admitted to Govt. of the hostel under SC/ST Amelioration Fund.

The College is a free medical facility in Govt. Lady Goshen hospital & Wenlock District hospital which is situated in the city within a 1.5KM distance from the college.

The College has Multi Gym for boys and girls. There is no separate gym available to the students in the College. However, there are gymnasiums, and yoga centers available Neighbourhood of the College.

The college has a parking space facility for its faculty, staff, and students.

The College Wifi facility is made available on the campus.

The College has NINE (09) well-furnished and ventilated tiled roof classrooms in the old building.
