The library in the twenty-first century has become more important and essential for any educational sphere. For higher education, however, it has come to be adjudged a part and parcel of the education sector. Since there is a huge competition in the job market nowadays, a library is supposed to be answering to the demand for more study materials. Therefore, a library replete with all sorts of study materials plays a pivotal part not only in helping students get through a certain course of study but also in aiding them for the preparations for their career in the job market. Given these aspects, Govt. General Degree College at Pedong also possesses a spacious library. Although it is new and is not fully furnished yet still the library consists of a considerable body of books which the college is proud of. We also look forward to receiving more funds from the Govt. of West Bengal and will accordingly multiply materials in the future for facilitating our students in the maximum.

The college has Motive of the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.
