Government Hrangbana College, Aizawl

The College has Women's Hostel was occupied by the students from the academic session 2012 – 2013. There are at present 32 seats for the students and Quarters for Hostel Superintendent, Hostel Cook, and Chowkider, Visitors Room, Meeting Hall, Dining Hall, and Bus Shed. In addition to this, inmates are provided with indoor game facilities like – Table Tennis, car cardboard, Chess, a Chinese Checker, a Drought Board, etc., and Television.

The College has a two-floor Library covering 4102 sq.ft. It is well well-designed spacious and airy reading room of 75 seating capacity with 4 seats in a separate reading room for Teachers and research scholars. Today the Library has reached 27871 volumes of books with several journals and its bound back volume. It was computerized by using Soul 2.0. The library is selected as SOUL Support Centre and the Librarian is appointed as Coordinator for North East-II, covering areas of Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, and Tripura. Besides the Soul Coordinator, One Technical Assistant is attached to the College.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. Language laboratory: For effective communication skills in the English language spoken English is taught with the help of the language lab. It helps the students in acquiring the correct pronunciation and in effective speaking.

The College has an Auditorium with more than 800 seating capacity which is convenient for organizing seminars, cultural programs, conferences, training, etc.

The college has a well-equipped spacious Canteen that caters to the needs of the College Staff and students. The College Canteen provides refreshment services to the students and staff of this College.

The college has a First Aid facility available on the campus and medical help from local hospitals is arranged as and when necessary.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. The College Computer Lab. was set up in 2007 – 2008 with fifteen computers only. It has been upgraded to 27 computers from the academic session 2013 – 2014. The computer Lab. is looked after by the Commerce Department of this College.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has sports facilities for all students. Since the main campus is located at a busy commercial center without any playground a well-furnished playground for the students is provided at Muthi.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a Club facility for all students.

The college has encouraged extracurricular activities like NSS, NCC, Arts and crafts, Etc.
