Government Polytechnic, Balasore

The college has a spacious Library which has a rich collection of Books, Journals, Periodicals, Magazines along with other Reading and Study materials. A Reading Room facility and Reprography facility are also available in the college Library.  

Government Polytechnic, Balasore has a Computer Lab where all the Computers are well equipped with latest hardware devices and software programmes. Government Polytechnic, Balasore has a 100 Mbps Leased Line Internet Connectivity from the BSNL. The Computers in the Institution are well connected with the High speed Internet which can be used by the Faculty members and the students as per their convenience.    

The college has a number of Departmental Laboratories which are well equipped with all the sophisticated tools and equipment to teach the practical aspect of the course curriculum to the students. 

The college has 2 Boys Hostels which can accommodate approximately 240 students. The Hostel Rooms are well ventilated and well furnished. The Boys Hostel has a Mess and a Common Room where the students can undertake various activities. 

Government Polytechnic, Balasore provides Hostel facility to the Girls Students. The college has 2 Girls Hostel with the residential capacity of approximately 235 Girls. The Hostel Rooms are equipped with furniture and fittings. The Girls Hostel has Mess facility and Dining Hall facility available for the students.   

Government Polytechnic, Balasore provides various indoor and outdoor games and sports facilities to the students. The college also has a Yoga Hall for the students. 

Government Polytechnic, Balasore has a Canteen which serves healthy and nutritious food and snacks to the students at reasonable prices. 

There is a cultural club in this institution which is regularly used by the student for practice in different event inside and outside the campus

The remaining hours shall be engaged in student counselling, co-curricular, extracurricular and other academic/administrative centric activities.
