The Library and Resource Center is named after Shiyali Ramamrita Ranganathan (S.R.R.) who was a renowned librarian and mathematician. S.R.R. is considered to be the father of library science, documentation, and information science in India and is widely known throughout the rest of the world for his fundamental thinking in the field. The state-of-the-art Dr. S R Ranganathan Library and Resource Center is housed in the Administrative and Library block. Along with vast collections of books and journals, the library provides digital and reprographic facilities with 15 computers with internet connectivity.

The Govt. Polytechnic College, Perumbavoor Alumni Association (SMRITHI) has been set up to enable past students of the college to share their knowledge and experience effectively with one another as well as contribute to the fields of engineering and technology as a whole. The alumni association also helps to foster relationships in social, cultural, and professional directions among its members and thus contribute positively to society.

Quality employment for Sustainability is the prime motto of our Career Guidance and Placement Cell. Near to 100%, placements happen through on-campus and off-campus modes. We ensure that at least 20% of students of every program are nurtured with all skills required for ready employment through Industry on Campus (IoC), Production and Training Center (PAT), FABLab, Outreach programs, and IEDC activities. These students are mentored with all skills needed for industry including skills needed for better customer interaction and technical skills that are needed to perform from day 1 of employment without additional training. Functioning as a centralized hub for recruitment, the college offers the following facilities for centralized placements.
