The college has two hostel capacities for boys on a first-come-first-serve basis. Mess is arranged by inmates themselves. All activities are supervised by the warden, who is selected by the senior-most faculty of the institute.

The college has a computer centre that is equipped with various computers with state-of-the-art Intel Pentium IV machines. A leased line connection for internet facilities is also in process. Also, ESET Lab is available in college.

Government Polytechnic Darbhanga library has a vast collection of many text and reference books besides other resource materials. The main objective is to deliver world-class service to its users by providing various books, journals, dailies, magazines, and other related materials.

Government Polytechnic Darbhanga sports facilities are provided for outdoor and indoor games like Volleyball, Football, Cricket, Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, and some other sports.
