Government Polytechnic Dehradun library facilities are provided to both students and staff. The library consists of books, journals, magazines, periodicals and digital resources. Librarians are available to help students in utilising library resources effectively.

A separate residential facility is provided for boys with a capacity of 60 students. Government Polytechnic Dehradun boys hostel facilities include spacious and comfortable rooms, hostel mess, nutritious food and some other facilities.

A separate residential facility is provided for girls with a capacity of 50 students. The hostel mess is well maintained. Good food is provided in the hostel mess. Security is available round the clock.

The auditorium facilities are provided to organise and celebrate academic and cultural events such as orientation programmes, graduation ceremonies, workshops, conferences, seminars and guest lectures. The auditorium serves as a place for exchanging knowledge and sharing emotions.

The cafeteria facilities are provided to both students and staff. The cafeteria and its surroundings are always kept neat and clean. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is available in the cafeteria.

Government Polytechnic Dehradun medical facilities include first aid facility, general treatment and emergency care in times of emergency. The health centre consists of qualified medical professionals who are trained to provide primary healthcare and emergency services to both students and staff.
