Government Polytechnic, Solapur

The Government Polytechnic Solapur has three hostel buildings on the campus, Boys' blocks are named Hostel-A for 2nd & 3rd-year students, having 80 rooms. Hostel-B is for 1st year boys' students, having 20 rooms. The hostel campus houses about 240 boys & girls. Further, it comprises of hostel offa office, security room, Guesthouse of three roomsrectors'ectors quarters, and the nd principal’s residence. Student messes are run on a cooperative basis. 

The GP Solapur Hostel building is two-storied. For girls, there is one hostel building having 14 rooms. The Hostel campus is designed for 36 students; however, it accommodates 55 girls students. Further, it comprises of hostel office and, rector's quarter. Amenities: The girl students are provided with basic amenities like a cot, table, chair, cupboard in their rooms. 

The Government Polytechnic Solapur First Aid Box is available in the Hostel. This facility can be availed by the sick students on the campus at affordable prices. 

The GP Solapur has a Gym facility for the students. The facility helps the students to remain physically fit throughout their studies. Applicants are trained and can perform workouts as trained by the trainer.  

The Government Polytechnic Solapur has a library facility to actively support the teaching and learning activities of the Polytechnic by providing access to the information sources for study, teaching, and learning processes. 

The GP Solapur playground is up with 2 playgrounds, one featuring numerous game corners like cricket, football, volleyball, and many more. The other is a basketball court with viewers' stadium.GP students actively participate in all games and enjoy every match.

The Government Polytechnic Solapur has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students that includes wifi computer laboratories and internet facilities. 

The Government Polytechnic Solapur has a Canteen that is not just the place where you go to eat. Especially in institutes of education, this place is an open arena for debate, argumentative sessions on different issues, cracking gossips, kidding, and having loads of fun with cutlets, samosas, tea, coffee, and Coke in between as gap fillers. 

The college has GP Solapur Alumni Association on 13 March 2016 by the Pune Chapter in the presence of current faculty and alumni in Pune, Solapur, and the Mumbai region. The executive committees of the alumni association framed the bylaws of the association and officially declared them during the Pune Chapter meeting. 

The Government Polytechnic Solapur has department-based laboratory facilities for the students. This facility helps the students to create and innovate ideas which are helpful for research and development activities. 

The GP Solapur Stationery Stores caters to all the needs of the students in connection with academics. Being a GPS student, you have easy access to all the stationery requirements. The stationery centre at the campus proves to be a utilitarian service at the campus, where textbooks, reference books, journals, laboratory manuals, Files, and other necessary equipment for experimental sessions are available for purchase. 

The Government Polytechnic Solapur has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. Auditorium has a state-of-the-art infrastructure with LCD projectors and a good seating arrangement. This is the place where cultural, academic and non-academic events are conducted.  

The GP Solapur has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members. This place can be availed by students, parents and guests whenever events are conducted. 

The Government Polytechnic Solapur has a Training and Placement Cell facility for events and seminars.
