GS Patil Arts and Commerce College, Kundgol

The college has a well-equipped and computerized library with an excellent collection of books on various subjects. It subscribes to many journals and magazines. Books are issued to students for reference and also for home reading. The students are making use of the library during college hours from 10-00 to 5-30. The Library has an Internet facility for the students and staff. It has been enlisted with the INFLIBNET facility. 4 Computers are made available in the library for the students to browse the internet. The students and faculty members can access more than 6500 e-journals and 9000 magazines through the INFLIBNET facility. There are 13,388 books on various subjects. Both students and staff, particularly poor boys & ladies students, benefit from the library. The college teaching staff is using the maximum facilities of the library. Many journals on various subjects, periodicals, newspapers, and monthly magazines are available in the library.

The college has sports and athletic activities that start every year at the beginning of the academic year. The college provides opportunities in athletics, Yoga, Mallakamba, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Cricket, Tennis, Gym, apart from Chess and Carom. The college conducts annual sports generally in March every year, and the winners are awarded prizes, championships, etc., at the time of the annual social gathering. Both boys and girls have been showing a consistently keen interest in sports events all these years.

The college has one well-established, modernized computer lab with Internet connectivity and a Language Lab to cater to the diversified needs of the students.

The college has a health aspect for the students that is also taken care of through the medical center. A provision for regular health check-ups is made in the college. Health awareness, drug abuse programs, and special lectures by eminent scholars are conducted with the help of N.S.S., Red Cross Wing, and Heritage Clubs. The First Aid kit is always made available in the sports department.
