Guru Nanak College, Budhlada

  Guru Nanak College Budhlada has a Bebe Nanaki girls hostel financially sponsored by UGC. The hostel was established in 2011. The main motive of the hostel is to provide an environment that helps students to adjust, learn, and live in an effortlessly laid environment. We ensure the students live in a healthy environment (mentally, physically, and socially) which has always been at the top of our priority. Hostel warden Asst. professor Kanchan kumari, H.O.D. Agriculture and Food Processing looks after daily aspects of hostel management and is responsible for discipline, maintenance of the building, and allotment of rooms in the hostel. Every effort has been made to make the hostel building confront to high standards of quality in construction. Great emphasis is laid on cleanliness, hygienic food, and individual styles. Hostel complexes have several convenience facilities to make student's life easier.

The college has a library of the college is well-stocked with a good collection of books, journals, and other reading materials. The collection is augmented regularly according to the requirements of students and faculty. To facilitate a congenial atmosphere for reading, the library has been fully air-conditioned. The library subscribes to different scholarly journals catering to the multi-dimensional and ever-changing information needs of the users.

The college has sports facilities for all students. Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Indoor Sports Complex is meant for indoor games. But keeping in view its maximum utilization, it is specially built in such a way that it can be used as an auditorium as well as an indoor stadium. In this way, it is also used for conducting various functions like Prize Distribution, Convocation, Talent Hunt, and many other small and big events, etc.

The college has a Computer center of Guru Nanak College that has 250 computers of the latest configuration i-3 and i-5 Processor connected to LAN. It has got peripherals such as 10 printers, 4 CD writers, and 4 scanners. The computer center has LCD projectors for instructions. Computer Center has the following Software: Operating Systems: Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Red Hat Linux, etc. Application Software: MS Office 2003, MS Office 2007, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Visual Studio including(Visual Basic, C#, J#, and ASP), SQL Server, C, C++, and Animation software.

The college has spacious two canteens separate for boys and girls, which can conveniently accommodate 250 students at a time a variety of eatables are available at most nominal rates. The canteens remain open on all working days. It provides all types of nutritious and hygienic eatables and beverages to cater to the students, staff, and visitors. The canteen has a big kitchen and the kitchen staff takes extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the campus canteen.

The college has provided a bus facility for students. Bus routes are distributed throughout the city for the convenience of students, The College bus service is a pick-and-drop facility to the city's nearby villages. The college has 18 buses.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a gymnasium that is well-equipped with all the latest machines for physical workouts. In addition to this, the college provides free coaching. It is very beneficial for both the students and faculty to keep their bodies fit.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students—chemistry lab Physica lab, and Music Lab.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has Motive for the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.

The college also encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities like NSS and NCC.

Smart Classroom is a digitally equipped classroom that fosters opportunities for teaching and learning by integrating learning technology, such as computers, software, LCD projectors, interactive whiteboards, networking, and audio/visual capabilities. Smart boards have all this information in memory and can be presented during the time of class lectures and thus the time saved can be used for more important things. In college, there are approximately 40 smart classrooms equipped with various kinds of ICT equipment.

The college has a Stationary Shop facility for all Students and Staff.
