Guru Nanak Girls College, Yamuna Nagar

The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. Residential life is an important aspect of the educational experience that the college offers to its students. Residential life contributes to the student’s personal and social growth and provides meaningful introductions to the college. Two hostels are within the campus and two are outside the college having all modern amenities and accommodation for 350 students.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The College library is the most significant and sacred place for the generation of knowledge. It not only inculcates the habit of reading but stimulates a deeper quest for knowledge among students. Our college library is a very rich treasure house of the wisdom of great thinkers, philosophers, and scientists. It is one of the best libraries in Haryana with a very vast and rich collection of more than 55000 books, 105 periodicals, and 37 national and 5 international is taken journals. Besides this, the college has 70000 books available online through the British Library. The library has a complete database of books, journals, and project reports which are fully computerized and are easily accessible.

The college has Indoor Games: Table Tennis, and Carom Board.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a canteen with a seating capacity of 75 for the benefit of students, staff, and visitors. The canteen offers hygienic snacks and food. RO purified water is also available in the canteen for the users.

The College has an air-conditioned seminar hall with a seating capacity of 150 persons available on the campus. The seminar hall is equipped with audio & visual systems. Events such as small meetings, symposiums, etc. are organized here.

The college has a fleet of 12 buses to facilitate girl students in and around Yamuna Nagar. Presently approximately 700 girls are commuting from 208 villages and from 800 different stops, within a radius of 55 KM from the city.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The College has a WiFi campus comprising a sports wing, Conference Hall, and computer labs.

The College Smart classes use all interactive modules like videos and presentations and these visually attractive methods of teaching become appealing to students who are already struggling with the traditional method of teaching in a classroom. In fact, smart classes are almost like watching movies as sometimes, animated visuals are used to teach a point. This kind of visual is both eye-catching and young students can easily relate to them. This is because the audio-visual senses of students are targeted and it helps the students store the information fast and more effectively. And then, there is the advantage of utilizing much of the time wasted earlier in drawing or preparing diagrams on board. Smartboards have all this information in memory and can be presented during the time of class lectures thus, the time saved can be used for more important things.
