Jaintia Eastern College, Meghalaya

The College is a women's hostel attached to the college with Wi-Fi enabled available on a first-come-first-serve basis. The hostel has shared rooms and attached bathrooms with a hot water supply during winter. All rooms are furnished with a bed, mattress, study table, book rack, chair, and cupboard/shelf for each student. The hostel rooms are well-ventilated. Round-the-clock security will be provided. Recreation Rooms with a TV are available. Application forms and rules for admission to the Hostel can be had from the Warden‟s office on payment of Rs. 100/-

The college library is situated on the first floor and has spacious and well-ventilated reading rooms. It has a rich collection of books on various subjects, which is continuously updated. The working hour of the library is 8.00. A.M. to 5.00. P.M. on all working days. Besides textbooks, the library also subscribed to journals, leading magazines, journals leisure books, competitive exam books, and newspapers in English and Khasi languages, previous year's question papers are also kept for ready reference by the students and teachers. Students and other stakeholders get access to e-journals and e-books through N-LIST. Apart from that, Internet facilities are also provided to help students finding out reading materials related to their course of study. Moreover, it renders services to the students by providing them with textbooks for the whole academic session for which the students are required to apply as and when notified. For rules and regulations pertaining to the library, students are advised to get informed by the librarian.

The college organizes and participates in outdoor and indoor games and sports at the college and university levels. The Football team (men/women) has been performing creditably well in the Intercollege at the university level and has won many prizes. Basketball, Table Tennis is newly added to the college.

The Computer Center is equipped with well-furnished furniture and accommodating 30 Desktop Computers. The laboratory is also equipped with related devices for networking: such as Internet Facilities with Broadband connection for the PCs and Wi-Fi connection services for portable devices. Teaching tools like projectors and whiteboards were installed for ease of teaching and learning.

The college has one Canteen and a Coffee Shop on its campus. The College canteen is open from 8.00 am to 6.30 pm.

The College buses are available to students commuting through identified routes and they have to pay the minimum prescribed bus fare. However, for those students coming from long distances routes, the college is making all efforts to help them to get taxi fare concessions.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The College Alumni Committee has been formed recently to serve as a platform to bring together former students who are willing to contribute towards the academic and material advancement of their Alma mater with their physical and intellectual labor as well as material support. All former students and teachers of the college are eligible to become members of this association against the payment of the requisite membership fee. Since its inception, the Alumni Committee has been actively involved in the development of the college by sponsoring various renovation and beautification projects across the campus.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.
