KVM College of Nursing, Alappuzha

The college has Hostel accommodation available in the institution premises with well spacious and properly ventilated rooms which will create a homely atmosphere and enable the students to have their studies.

The college has a sister concern, which forms the backbone of the Institute. This is a full-fledged 350-bed multi-disciplinary hospital. A fully equipped automated laboratory and well-equipped operation theatres are the added attraction for our courses. The laboratory is a DMC under the RNTCP, Govt. of Kerala. The departments include Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Neonatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Medicine, Orthopedics, Surgery, Dentistry, Pathology, Blood bank, Psychiatry, De-addiction, Counseling Centre, pain and palliative center, etc.

The college has a library that is the center of learning. Our library is fully equipped with numerous books, journals both national and international, general reading magazines, and newspapers for the use of students and staff.  E-library and E-journals are also available for the students. The library is completely computerized and automated. The library functions 13 hours daily under the guidance of 3 professional librarians. Computer and internet facilities are available for the students inside the library. The students are encouraged to make full use of these resources and abide by the rules and regulations of the library. The faculty ensures to foster reading habits among students. The regular use of the library helps the students to widen the horizon of their knowledge. The institution's library comprises more than 3750 books and is subscribed to 17 journals.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has a cafeteria located within the college campus. It serves all types of snacks, tea, coffee, soft drinks, stationaries, etc at a nominal rate. The overall ambiance provides relaxation to both students and faculty. Hygiene is compromised at zero levels by the hygiene committee. The management of the canteen is directly under the control of the College Administration. Contractors are selected according to available and suitable quotations. The cafeteria is open to all with separate seating arrangements for staff and students. Wholesome, hygienic, and varied foods are available without any loss in nutritive value. Apart from the student cafeteria the institution also has a hospital canteen where all kinds of food are made accessible to all at a reasonable price.

The college has an auditorium with a seating capacity of more than 300 and has every facility for conducting various educational and cultural programs.

The college has a good networking for alumni association for student activities.

The college has all the nursing laboratories such as the Fundamentals of Nursing laboratory, Anatomy lab, Nutrition lab, and Community Health Nursing laboratory. Laboratories are well arranged with the most modern equipment for providing excellent practical experience for the students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has Well-furnished classrooms, equipped with modern educational aids such as computers, LCD projectors, overhead projectors, P.A. system, etc.

The college has adequate buses which are made available to students and faculty members for transport from various localities. The routes and pickup points are laid out. To ensure the safety and security of students we provide transportation facilities at a no-profit no-loss basis. Transportation facilities are also provided for various clinical postings. We have employed qualified and experienced drivers for added safety. Hygiene of vehicles is taken care of by cleaning staff allotted to particular buses. Apart from buses, our institution provides cars for receiving and departing guests.
