Lady Keane College, Shillong

The College has a total of 280 Students who can be accommodated in the hostel, Students are provided with furniture needed by them for their use, for example, a bed, table, chair, stool, shelf, and a clothes hanger, etc. The supply of water to the students is by drilling of groundwater and rain harvesting methods.

The College Medical Care Unit is an outpatient unit that provides quality medical and nursing care in the college. A doctor, nurse, and health care assistant provide acute and comprehensive care for a wide variety of medical illnesses to all the students and all the college staff. It aims to strengthen the educational process by improving the health status and health knowledge of the students, faculty, and staff of the college.

The College has a gymnasium equipped with a motorized treadmill, crazy fit, handgrip, multi-bunch, pushup bar, dumbbell bar, Kimball, orbiter, three-station gym, recumbent bike, and AB/ circle.

The College has Lady Keane College Library, established in 1935, since the inception of the college, is well stocked with books, Reference and Text, journals, magazines, newspapers, reading materials for competitive examinations, and CDs for use and borrowing by students, teachers, and staff. The library, being the heart of an institution, is a powerhouse of knowledge and supports the information needs of all its users. To enrich the library, every year, the addition of valuable books on varied topics of study is suggested and recommended by a different department. Reprography and Internet facilities are made available to the users. The library is automated using Integrated Library Management Software (ILMS) to make access easier. The library services are being automated using the software, which is used for searching, reporting, circulation, OPAC, and other functions. Bar coding is also integrated into the system. The college has a library committee for monitoring all the activities of the library

The College Canteen provides wholesome food, tea, and snacks at a rate duly approved by the College

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has the Banks/ATM facilities for all students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has alumni association has been a part of the college for a long time. Along with bringing college mates together, they serve multiple other benefits for students. Staying connected to the place that enabled you to fly high and achieve your dreams gives you worldly pleasure. It brings the memories back and cherishes them. Apart from emotional gains, the alumni association has other career benefits too. It helps students keep in touch with their mates who may have reached certain heights in their careers and their different perspectives on various fields. Due to the pandemic situation of COVID-19, the Alumni Association has not been able to do many activities for the students during the academic year 2021 -2022. 

The college has a convenience store facility for students. (like, photocopying facility & stationery, etc.)
