Maharajadhiraj Uday Chand Women's College, Burdwan

The College has three well-furnished Girls’ Hostels with accommodation of over 370 students. Priority in accommodation is given to students with a physical disability and those studying Honours courses. Seats are allotted subject-wise depending on availability. Half and full-free borders have also been introduced for the needy students staying at college hostels.

The college library started catering to the needs of its learners with a modest collection of 788 books some of which were donated by Maharajadhiraj Uday Chand Mahatab from his personal collection.

The college authority has recently set up a Badminton Court and is planning to set up a Volleyball Court in the near future.  

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has an Alumni Association called 'Chirayata' (PERENNIAL). The Association which emerged in 2003 is well represented. Many ex-students of MUC Women's College, even students of the first batch, are members of 'Chirayata'. So warm and strong is the emotional attachment of the alumni to the institution that throughout the year they carry out various activities for the development of their alma mater.

The college also takes pride in providing Gymnasium facilities to the students. With the financial assistance of the State Government, the Multi-gym has recently been upgraded.

The college is located in a district town that has become almost world famous for its medical-clinic cum drug-house density, it has not opted for any special arrangement on the campus in this regard.  

The College has a long L- L-shaped cycle stand in the college for parking two-wheelers for the students. Another spacious parking zone has recently been constructed for parking two-wheelers of the staff members. The care-taker of the cycle stand collects parking charges and pays the college a fixed amount per token

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has a guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has a Club facility for all students.

The college also encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities like NSS.
