Mar Elias College, Kothamangalam

The College library is a place where there are no restrictions on access to information in a variety of formats and sources. They are repositories of information. Our college features a well-organized library system that supports the reading and learning needs of students and faculty. The library contains nearly 4796 books and journals on different subjects. A good collection of reference books is maintained in our library. To have a precise idea about the present circumstances of our society, we are subscribing to many leading magazines and newspapers. Library books are classified subject-wise according to the Dewey Decimal Classification. Our library has a seating capacity of 50 and is located in the main Administrative Block of our campus, with a total area of 163 sq. m. 

The College maintains a sophisticated computer lab with sufficiently configured computers. Individuals and students get a hands-on experience in the lab. The computer terminals are connected to a Local Area Network (LAN)  so that students can make use of the internet for study purposes. 

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

College Education is complete only when it ensures the all-around development of an individual. A vast playground with provisions for playing outdoor games like cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, and basketball is in place. The students are systematically given regular and rigorous training, as per their choices. 

The College has a well-equipped, air-conditioned seminar hall with all technical facilities and a seating capacity of 70 people at a time. The students and teachers make use of this facility to make project presentations, to conduct interactive sessions, seminars, and guest lectures.

The college has a canteen located inside the College.  The canteen is run by the management. The college canteen benefits College students and staff. The management is fully committed to keeping the quality of the canteen for the utmost benefit of all concerned.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has provided excellent conveyance for the students and faculty. Bus service is provided to and from the College with the safety and convenience of our students as a priority. Our College proactively manages the transportation process.

College buses are available from Kothamangalam, Keerampara, Kuruppampady, Irumalapady, and Perumbavoor. 

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has ICT-enabled classrooms are the places where effective teaching-learning takes place. Thirteen classrooms in our college are ICT-enabled classrooms with modern technology. Provision for using modern teaching tools and techniques is available in all these classrooms, which will enhance the skills and knowledge of the students.

The College has Nature Club has been introduced to generate awareness among students about current environmental issues. Nature Club teaches students to love their mother nature and conserve the resources in it. Due to various anthropogenic activities, the environment has been subjected to irreparable damage. If we do not take immediate measures to preserve and rescue nature, it will have a reverse and negative impact on us. The environment and the resources in it are to be protected at any cost. The protection of the environment should be the primary concern of the nature club.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.
