What is CLAT 2027?

CLAT is an exam for admissions to Law programs. It is a national-level test. The Consortium of National Law Universities conducts this exam. Many students take CLAT every year. CLAT registration 2027 will start soon for interested students.

CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2027

You must meet certain rules to write CLAT. Check the CLAT eligibility criteria before applying. There is no upper age limit for CLAT.

• For UG CLAT:

* You must have passed Class 12. * You need at least 45% marks in Class 12 (40% for SC/ST groups). * Students appearing for Class 12 exams can also apply.

• For PG CLAT:

* You must have an LLB degree. * You need at least 50% marks in LLB (45% for SC/ST groups).

The application process is fully online. You need to visit the website. First, register with your basic details. Then, fill out the form. Upload your documents. Pay the form fee. Finally, submit the form. Keep a printout of the confirmation page.

8. Upload required certificates.
9. Pay the form fee online.

11. Submit the application.
12. Download and print the confirmation page.

CLAT Exam Pattern

The CLAT exam is offline. It has multiple-choice questions. You get 2 hours to finish the test.

For every correct answer, you get 1 mark. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are cut.

CLAT Syllabus 2027

The CLAT syllabus covers five main areas for UG. You can find the detailed CLAT syllabus pdf on the website.

• English Language: Reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar.
• Current Affairs, including General Knowledge: News, history, arts, international affairs.
• Legal Reasoning: Principles of law, legal facts, application of rules.
• Logical Reasoning: Puzzles, syllogisms, analogies, critical reasoning.
• Quantitative Techniques: Basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics (Class 10 level).

For PG CLAT, the syllabus focuses on different law subjects like Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Torts, Criminal Law, Property Law, and Public International Law.

CLAT Cutoff 2027

The cutoff is the minimum score needed for admission. It changes every year. Factors like exam difficulty and number of students affect it. Different NLUs have different cutoffs. Higher ranks generally get better NLUs.
