'Sree Dhara' was developed by the CTRI, in Sreekaryam in Thiruvananthapuram.
It is a high-yield Coleus variety with good cooking quality. It is the first variety of Chinese potatoes. The maturity duration is 5 months and the average yield is 25 - 28 T/Ha. It is a good variety of Chinese potatoes.
The starch content of the tubers is 19.5 %. Bushy compact plant type. It bears a cluster of dark brownish, heteromorphous tubers. The tubers possess an aromatic flavour. Used mainly as a vegetable.
