The University has 4 PG hostels, two each (Old block and New block, each with 50 rooms) for men on the main campus. In total, 300 boys can be accommodated in these hostels. There is a kitchen and well-furnished dining hall, a storeroom, and accommodation for Mess staff available. There are common bathrooms and toilets for students' use. The rooms are spacious, and the dimensions of each room are approximately 12”x15’’ with two windows for ventilation and shelves (wardrobes) for three students. Every room is fitted with two fluorescent tube lights and a fan. In each room, three students are accommodated, and each student is provided with a cot, table, and chair. Internet Browsing facilities are made available to the students in the hostels. The hostels are guarded by security personnel day and night. The students studying at Shivagangotri can only avail themselves of the hostel facilities.

The University has To avoid the hassle of having to go to a bank outside the campus, the university has an independent branch of the State Bank of India within the campus. It also has net banking facilities that include an ATM outlet, and it provides many banking facilities that are available for use for not only students but also staff members and faculty members.

The University has a library on the main campus that is well stocked with 45,850 texts and reference books,  51 journals on current subjects, 51 E-Books,  138 Emerald  Journal packages, an Encyclopedia and Science and Technology Database, and 2,100 back volumes of periodicals. A good number of Government and institutional reports are available in the library.

The University has a health center in the University, which is headed by a Visiting Medical Officer assisted by a full-time nurse at Shivagangotri Campus. It has preliminary diagnostic facilities and provides health care to the faculty, staff, and students.

The University has conducted inter-collegiate tournaments, team selection trials for the participation of Students in inter-university tournaments, coaching camps, and indoor and outdoor games. It supports all the activities relating to sports.

The University has The students of the nearby areas can make use of the public transportation facility that is extended by the KSRTC, which has many routes that link to the university campus. So the students residing nearby can find easy access to the campus, and they don’t have to make daily arrangements for travel. The district administration has tried to help by setting up this facility through which thousands of students from rural and urban areas alike can pursue good-quality higher education. Additionally, many private buses also ply the campus.
