The University of Medical Unit was established in 1979-80. The Medical Unit provides medical facilities at a very affordable cost, i.e. Rs.2/- for 7 days and Rs. 5/- for 7 days for students and staff, respectively. The unit has the following facilities. For emergency indoor patients, there is an arrangement for 6 beds. If the patient requires traction, it is given under the guidance of an expert in the Medical Unit with the help of the Traction Unit. A diathermy machine helps the patient to get relief from severe muscular pains. The facility of E.C.G. is made available for the students at the cost of Rs. 50/- and for the staff @ Rs.100/- only.
