IISc Bangalore includes several independent hostel complexes for students, some of which are for boys and others for girls. The hostel blocks can house more than 3000 students in total. Students can pick from four different restaurants; two of them serve vegetarian food, while the other two serve mixed vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The hostel complex also includes modest convenience stores such as a bakery, laundry, bike repair, hair cutting, and pharmacy.

The IISc Bangalore facilities include a Bank/ATM on campus. There are two banks with branches on campus: Canara Bank and the State Bank of India. ATMs are also available to students and faculty members at IISc Bangalore.

IISc Bangalore has a health centre to meet the medical requirements of students, teachers, and employees. The health centre is well-equipped to conduct a variety of clinical tests and provides both outpatient and inpatient care.

The IISc Bangalore facilities include a library, commonly known as the J. R. D. Tata Memorial Library, which was established in 1911. The library includes a collection of more than 5 lakh volumes including books, periodicals, technical papers, and standards. It sits on around 5,000 square metres of land.

The cafeteria is more than simply a location for students to eat; it has also become a place for students to socialise with their peers. IISc Bangalore's cafeteria serves good meals at reasonable pricing. The mess serves hygiene and healthy food for students. 

The IISc Bangalore facilities include an auditorium which is used to host various events such as seminars, workshops, and many others. The auditorium is used to organise the professional and cultural events.
